the plan, the dream

So this is what i learnt today; i cannot go home immediately after i'm done classes for the day. I did this today, and it was by far the least productive day since i've been out in halifax. This is the biggest reason why i've been looking for a job lately, atop from the money i just appreciate something filling my time. I'm still in the last stages of the sickness, so sometimes i have the energy for whichever, and sometimes not. Its also all the biking around the city is really hitting me on the legs. I think its just a matter of good diet and sleep that'll get my legs into the routine. The race is alot closer then i thought it was, and i'm kinda only now starting to feel crappy about getting sick right before it because i would've really liked to put down a serious time but right now i'm feeling really uneasy about it. I'm hoping i could atleast do a sub-2hr race, and i'll know in the next coming weeks how much further down the scale i can go.

So i applied for another job today at the trail shop, an outdoor equipment store that would've been great to work at because the stuff they have there is amazing but also super expensive, so it would've been cool to even have the discount to get some cool stuff. But unfortunately they are only looking for full-time, so i'm hoping they'll change their mind about that but its pretty unlikely. So i think its gonna be tim hortons, but thats alright. Should be fun working with some people i know there. School routine is coming in full bend now and so its a great time to get my training started full stream. I haven't come out and said this yet on here because i was cautious about almost committing too much or what not, but before i got sick i was well devoted to triathlon training and that has dipped a little bit so i think i need another committment to really solidify me backing up what i'm shooting for. Anyways, my three year goal, i'll explain it in stages: for the next year and a half, or in an undetermined time, i'm going to be doing base training. This means that before i go down to australia, which i'm still hoping to do so in july this coming summer for a year, i should be in the best shape of my life. And to me this is great news because from my experience, australia and new zealand seem to be two of the most elite countries in the sport. My training would continue down there, and my main goal is to qualify for the 2011 national championships, in canada and be considered an elite level athlete by triathlon canada. Hopefully, this could possibly lead to a trip down to 2012 london as either a training partner/team member down there or in the wildest dreams an active racer in london. So anyways, for the 3-odd people that read this, there's my goal. I gotta really focus and buckle down and make sure school gets done too, so wish me luck.
