homeless again

so after spending a couple days in that "apartment" i got on south and edward, and i just decided that it wasn't for me. it didn't take much deciding, thats for sure. ever since i've been out here in halifax, i can't help but feeling really homesick. this has rarely ever happened with me. and its strange for it to happen now but also i can understand it a bit. i'm not busy at all, which doesn't help, and i didn't really get a proper chance to spend too much time at home either. usually, especially in the busier months, as i was saying a couple days ago, i absolutely crave the alone time. but its one of those give and take things, because as soon as that time is presented to you without your choice in the matter, of course its the furthest thing you wanna be around. first of all, i should be in ontario rocking it out with that guy. Phil Bonham, human being extraordinaire. i've know this kid since he was about a year old, maybe even earlier. you know that one person you've known all your life, well thats him. different schools didn't keep us apart for long, and with everyone growing up and doing there own thing, theres my buddy phil at mcmaster university doing big things. this isn't to say theres an entire list of other people that i miss just as much, but tough for you people that today, its all about phil. if you happened to be rocking around the coast of newfoundland this summer, you might have rolled into him, or if your in the hammer going rock climbing or getting saved by the mac first response team, you might see him. well, it won't take long to know he's wicked. in actuality i could go on and on about how much of a hero he is to me, but i'll let you all figure it out for yourself.

back to the update. i'm back training again, gonna move into it slow and do a load of running just to get ready for the half-marathon in rimouski, and thats a good distraction but being as you can only run once a day 4-5x/week (gotta watch out for over training), its not distraction enough. so i got a guy, good engineering folk (why didnt i know about BEng in high school?) to sublet the place for the entire school year. i think we've got it arrange that he'll just sign a lease and i'll rip mine up, which is great. but now i'm out on the search. there was one place i had my eye on but judging from how fast i got rid of my place <1hr, this really nice upscale furnished victorian is probably long gone. so now i'll just wait it out, here from other people and check my options. i'm sure all my great friends will allow me to couch surf in the meanwhile. tomorrow i'm headed back out to ontario for the anniversary party, although we aren't allowed to call it that. then classes begin and we're ready for a start. thank goodness.
